Literary translator from Montenegrin, Serbian and Croatian into German in residency at OKF in Cetinje, Montenegro
Bio
Elvira Veselinović was raised in a bi-national and bilingual family, born in Dessau to a Yugoslav father and an East German mother. She has studied linguistics and Gaelic in Cologne (and Ireland), where she obtained her MA and PhD. She is currenlty based in Berlin.
Elvira is a literary translator from Montenegrin, Serbian and Croatian into German.
Residency goals
During her residency stay at OKF in Cetinje (Montenegro), Elvira will work on the translation of ‘Čovjek bez lica’ into German.
