Literary translator from French into Albanian in residency at ATLAS – Collège International des Traducteurs Littéraires in Arles, France
Bio
Linda Gjetani is a literary translator from French into Albanian. After an MS in French language and literature at the University of Tirana in 1991, in 2003 she obtained an international diploma in management from the business school of the University of Bordeaux. She also trained as a teacher for French and translation.
Linda has been working as a translator from French into Albanian and as a teacher in both languages. She was a speaker in several international and local Francophone conferences on French teaching, translation, and relationship between France and Albania. As part of her involvement in the association ‘Women Albanese group in the medias’, she has also given conferences about women’s rights.
Residency goals
During her residency at ATLAS – Collège International des Traducteurs Littéraires, Linda will be working on the translation of Eliette Abécassis: ‘Instagrammable’, Grasset, 2021 into Albanian.
