Literary translator from Macedonian into Italian in residency at Goten in Skopje, North Macedonia
Bio
Mariangela Biancofiore was born in 1981 in Italy. She graduates Comparative Literature and Literary Translation at the Faculty of Philology at the University of Naples. She continues her education with postgraduate studies in Theory and Practice of Literary Translation at the University of Bari.
From Macedonian into Italian she had translated works of Vlada Uroshevik, Lidija Dimkovska, Alexandr Prokopiev, among others.
Residency goals
During her residency stay at Goten in Skopje (North Macedonia), Mariangela worked on the translation of Elena Filipovska ‘Идол на ѕидот’, Сигмапрес, 2020 (‘Idol on the wall’) into Italian.
